Failed doomsday prediction by Peter Joseph

[Peter Joseph from Zeitgeist: Addendum]
"As of now, the world financial system is on the brink of collapse, due to its own shortcomings. The comptroller of currency stated in 2003 that the interest on the US national debt will not be affordable in less than 10 years. This theoretically means total bankruptcy for the US economy. And its implications for the world, are immense."

TZM Professor predicts economic collapse in 2012

Prof. Franz Hörmann beim Zeitgeist Movement Chapter Meeting 30.11.2011

Peter Joseph's failed ZDAY prediction

Two hours into Z-Day, the educational forum associated with the online movie “Zeitgeist,” Peter Joseph, the film’s director and the evening’s M.C., stepped out from behind his lectern and walked forward earnestly on the stage.
In his goatee and mustache and tieless in a brown suit, Mr. Joseph had been lecturing for nearly 90 minutes on the unsustainable nature of the money-based economy; on cyclical consumption, planned obsolescence, corporate malfeasance and piles of poisonous waste. “It’s time that we wake up,” he intoned, speaking solemnly through a wireless clip-on mike. “The doomsday scenario, the big contraction, might be happening right now. The system of monetary exchange is in the face of advancing technology completely obsolete.”
This drew wild applause from the sold-out crowd, a patchwork of perhaps 900 people who paid $10 a head on Sunday night to sit in a packed auditorium at the Borough of Manhattan Community College on Chambers Street near the West Side Highway. Z-Day events were taking place from New England to New Zealand, but this was the big one: the marquee happening with the marquee names.

There, in the crowd, was Jacque Fresco, an industrial designer and the engineering guru of what people unironically called “the movement.” Mr. Fresco, an elfin 93-year-old, sat beside his partner, Roxanne Meadows, smiling self-effacingly.

Mr. Joseph, back on stage, waited patiently as some of the crowd, still cheering, refused to leave their feet.

If the election of Barack Obama was supposed to denote the gradual demise of churlish, corporate governance and usher in a new, sustainable era of visionary change, there was little sign of it at the second annual meeting of the Worldwide Zeitgeist Movement, which, its organizers said, held 450 sister events in 70 countries around the globe.
“The mission of the movement is the application of the scientific method for social change,” Mr. Joseph announced by way of introduction. The evening, which began at 7 with a two-hour critique of monetary economics, became by midnight a utopian presentation of a money-free and computer-driven vision of the future, a wholesale reimagination of civilization, as if Karl Marx and Carl Sagan had hired John Lennon from his “Imagine” days to do no less than redesign the underlying structures of planetary life.
In other words, a not entirely inappropriate response to the zeitgeist itself, which one young man, a philosophy student in a roomy purple blazer, described before the show began as “the world as we know it coming to an end.” As the evening labored on with a Power Point presentation, a panel talk with Mr. Fresco and a spirited question and answer session, some basic themes emerged: modern economics is a fraud; global debt will crush the planet; society itself is dying from the profit motive; and people ought to wise up to the fact that more than legislation or presidential administrations needs to change.

Though they were never actually shown as most in attendance had seen them several times Mr. Joseph’s two films, “Zeitgeist: The Movie” (released in 2007) and “Zeitgeist: Addendum” (released last fall), were the subtext of the evening: online documentaries that have been watched, he says, by 50 million people around the world.

The former may be most famous for alleging that the attacks of Sept. 11 were an “inside job” perpetrated by a power-hungry government on its witless population, a point of view that Mr. Joseph said he has recently “moved away from.” Indeed, the second film, the focus of the event, was all but empty of such conspiratorial notions, directing its rhetoric and high production values toward posing a replacement for the evils of the banking system and a perilous economy of scarcity and debt.
That’s where Mr. Fresco came in, an author, lecturer and former aircraft engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio who has spent the last six decades working on the Venus Project, a futuristic society where (adjust your seatbelts, now) machines would control government and industry and safeguard the planet’s fragile resources by means of an artificially intelligent “earthwide autonomic sensor system” — a super-brain of sorts connected to, yes, all human knowledge.
If this sounds vaguely like a disaster scenario out of “2001: A Space Odyssey,” Mr. Fresco did not seem worried in the least. Machines are unemotional and unaggressive, unlike human beings, he told the crowd during the question-and-answer phase. “If you took your laptop and smashed it in front of 50 other laptops, trust me, none of them would care.”
The audience white, black, young, old, baseball caps and business suits alike received such words like a tonic, and the questions kept coming: What would family life be like in the future? What would happen if the automated system decided that a person had to die? Mr. Fresco and Ms. Meadows are planning the production of a major feature film to bring the Venus Project to a wider, global audience. Before the night began, Mr. Fresco, a small man with a V-neck sweater and a hearing aid, sat signing books and answering questions from a dozen or so college students gathered like acolytes at his feet.
As the evening came to a close, someone finally asked: So what would it take to actually put such a program into action? A grassroots movement, Mr. Joseph said.
“We already have a quarter-million members,” he insisted from the stage. “At the rate things are going, this will be at Madison Square Garden next year.”

Peter Joseph goes after Dick Cheney

THE KENNEBUNKPORT WARNING

To the American people, and to peace loving individuals everywhere:

Massive evidence has come to our attention which shows that the backers, controllers, and allies of Vice President Dick Cheney are determined to orchestrate and manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident, and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin war provocation over the coming weeks and months. Such events would be used by the Bush administration as a pretext for launching an aggressive war against Iran, quite possibly with nuclear weapons, and for imposing a regime of martial law here in the United States. We call on the House of Representatives to proceed immediately to the impeachment of Cheney, as an urgent measure for avoiding a wider and more catastrophic war. Once impeachment has begun, it will be easier for loyal and patriotic military officers to refuse illegal orders coming from the Cheney faction. We solemnly warn the people of the world that any terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction taking place inside the United States or elsewhere in the immediate future must be considered the prima facie responsibility of the Cheney faction. We urge responsible political leaders everywhere to begin at once to inoculate the public opinion of their countries against such a threatened false flag terror operation.

Peter Joseph is scared of a new 9/11

WE MUST STOP THE POLICE STATE
BY EXPOSING 9/11

Though many different frauds are addressed in Zeitgeist, at the present time the most important issue is exposing 9/11 and thus exposing government sponsored Terrorism. If we do not, they will erode all of our civil liberties and an oppressive, military style, surveillance based Police State will take firm root.

On Aug. 4th 2007, the Senate passed the Bush backed 'spy bill', which preserves & expands the illegal domestic spying program. I hope people are educated enough by this time to know that such legislations have nothing to do with Terrorism, and everything to do with monitoring and controlling American dissent.

Furthermore, on May 9 2007, Bush signed the
National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive,
which gives Bush near full dictatorial powers in the event of a "National Emergency". Bush, and the people he works for, will be able to do ANYTHING they want if a "National Emergency" is deemed. All they need is a "New 9/11".
The US Constitution will no longer be applicable.

In regards to this Directive, Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant
Secretary of the Treasury during the Reagan administration, has come
out and said he feels the White House is preparing to STAGE A NEW 9/11 and the executive order is designed to capitalize on such an attack, specifically to impose Martial Law and Invade Iran.

IN ORDER TO STOP MARTIAL LAW AND THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION
OF THE US CONSTITUTION, WE MUST STOP ANOTHER FALSE
FLAG ATTACK. THE FIRST STEP IS TO EXPOSE THE 9/11 FRAUD.
THIS IS THE EVENT THAT IS BEING USED TO JUSTIFY THE DEVELOPING POLICE STATE, NOT TO MENTION WORLDWIDE OPPRESSION.

Volkwagen scrapped RBE-like idea

New Technology from Volkswagen

Jacque Fresco with The Venus Project has a lot of visions about the future. Pollution free cars that run themselves, takes themselves to service and that can change color and interior design to your pleasing. Volkswagen has gotten quite far in their research. They have a video on the following link, suggesting all of this, in the year 2028. Of course, they are promoting themselves as a brand, but still, in the video the boy says “So what did you do with the car when you didn’t drive it?”, whereby the father answers “It was just parked”. Just before, their portable holographic interactive data terminal had just reminded them that they wanted to be picked up at 3pm, and says “please select the car you want to be picked up with”.
Does VW have a secret resource-based economy wish…? These lines imply that when they don’t use the car, someone else will use it. Since they can select between several cars, that also implies that the car is not theirs per se, but rather society’s. They do have total access to cars, though. I think RBE can have a breakthrough in the world eventually. This way we can all have fun developing cars and technology to the best for everyone. Check out the VW video here:

How Jacque Fresco envisioned 2006

A Trip to the Moon

If vacationers of the next 50 years or so jam up Miami Interplanetary Spaceport trying to get passage on a rocket to the moon, they may have to think in small measure a slight, goateed newcomer to the city. He is Jacque Fresco, a consulting psychologist who has spent many of his 40 years delving into the problems of the weird world of the future. Fresco arrived in Miami from Los Angeles bearing photographs of rocket models for use in several science-fiction movies. Three of his models are pictured on this page in his version of a trip to the moon in the year 2006. For interspace travel, the psychologist-inventor leans to the popular conceptions of a rocket ship. And he has drawn up a saucer-like space station using power generated by the sun, which Fresco believes is as possible as the man-made satellite scheduled to be launched next year in Florida. The space station he visualizes would be a sort of atmospheric filling station, holding large drums of fuel, probably ‘atomic fuel’. Spaceships would be drawn to the station by magnetism, he says. In the airtight stations, life would be only a little more complicated than on earth. He does see a gravity problem, but thinks electrostatic-shoes are dissolution. Food problems would be relatively simple if the world comes to bio cell tissue cultivation of meat and vegetables within 50 years.

In the earthbound world of 2006, he foresees flying arrowheads, elevators that move horizontally as well as vertically and cars that need no drivers. Fresco sees no reason not to expect an entire new electronic world within the next 50 years. “After all, we never expected to see atomic energy in our time” he suggests. He pictures an America of tomorrow connected by cross-country canals which will solve irrigation, flood control and transportation problems. His city of the future features National centers with buildings radiating out from the circular main structure. He envisions elevators that run underground from building to building, then up and down to various levels. Automobiles he sees as teardrop shapes topped with transparent plastic which automatically turns dark in the glare of sunlight. A photo-electric effect, similar to the negative process, makes possible the color change. Fresco’s cars would have proximity control, making collisions impossible, but the allowing the door to slide open and the seat to swing out to meet the driver when he approaches. A bottom worn by the motorist send out a signal which sets the door mechanics interaction, Fresco explains. Claiming already to have perfected an invention four wing de-icing, fresco expects the same principle to eliminate the need for windshield wipers. His theory is a probe which reaches out to measure the electrical charge in raindrop our snowflake and automatically sets the wing or windshield to take the…would be kept…never strike the object thus protected. Fresco pictures a turbo-jet helicopter which incorporates the plane body with the propeller blades for more speed. While the whole copter rotates, the pilot sits stationary in a central control chamber on wheels.

Fresco moved to Miami with his wife and three-year-old son about seven months ago, to escape Los Angeles smog. For the past seven years he had operated his scientific research laboratories in Los Angeles. It was there that he built his models of the world of tomorrow. He also worked as a movie technical adviser during the time. A Los Angeles concern now is perfecting his invention of stereoptician photographs, which do not require glasses, he says. Claiming a doctor’s degree in psychology from Sierra State University of Los Angeles, Fresco was a corporal with the Air Force design development division at Wright Field for 18 months, during World War II. He became interested in electronics while conducting psychological and physiological studies of vision and the working of the human mind, he says.
